		<description>I&#039;d also point out that we also learn some things by accident or just dumb luck.  For example, teflon was discovered by an accident in the lab.

Here&#039;s a little activity that you might like about invention and change.  People often resist change because they are comfortable with the status quo.  It often takes the next generation to adopt the change.

Okay here it is.  What would have happened if inventions had been discovered in reverse.  For example, let say we had the cell phone first, would people say..this is too convenient, I&#039;d rather be attached to the wall with a cord.  There still alot of people who would.

How about getting the news.  You could get it all on line in real time, with all sorts of links and multi-media.  Some people would say, why don&#039;t we invent a newspaper that gives old news, a crossword puzzle and you can get ink all over your hands.  

I&#039;m sure that someone argued with Fred Flinstone that putting on things rollers was much easier than using a wheel because that&#039;s what they grew up with.</description>
